For the second time in three weeks, Brandon Cole was named the AAC's Men's Basketball Player of the Week. The 6'2 sophomore from Crossville, Tenn., received this honor for his performance on the court December 2-8. Cole had an incredible week for the Lions. He averaged a double-double for the week at 29.3 points per game and 15.3 rebounds per game. On Friday, he recorded a career high 18 rebounds. Cole has 7 double-doubles on the season, tied for the most in the AAC. His scoring and rebounding has him in the top 10 in six statistical categories in Division II, including second in total rebounds (140) and third in total points scored (297).
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced their NAIA All-Region Teams. The Lions had two players honored by the NSCAA. Junior forward Daniel Branley and junior holding midfielder Gustavo Angel Tamayo were named to the 2013 NAIA Men's All-East Region First Team.
