The Lions jumped out to a 16-6 lead and continued to pull away the rest of the half. The two teams went into the locker room at halftime with the score 44-24. Bryan's largest lead was 26 points with just under nine minutes left in the game. The Mountaineers continued to battle and cut the lead down to 11 points 1:33 left to play, but that was as close as the Lions would let them get.
