The Bryan College Men's Basketball Team competed in a conference game against Virginia Intermont College on Thursday night in Bristol, Va. The Lions battled hard all the way to the end of the game to win by a final score of 89-86.
The Lions shot 45.5% from the floor for the game, while the Cobras shot 53.7%. Bryan shot 47.8% (11/23) from beyond the 3-point arc, and VI hit 36.4% (8/22). The Lions recorded 35 rebounds, 11 more than their opponent. Both teams recorded 14 turnovers.
Tim Fortenberry led the Lions in scoring with 20 points, hitting six of his nine three-point attempts. Rob Riley added 19 points. Dion Fair finished with 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Lavonte Henderson had 13 points and 5 assists. Jerrod Allen and Carrin Nash each tallied 8 rebounds.The Lions are now 6-11 overall and 1-2 in the AAC. They play again on Saturday at home against conference opponent Milligan College. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00pm ET.
