The Bryan College Men's Basketball Team hosted the Point University Skyhawks on Wednesday night for a conference game. The Lions held a double-digit lead for 30 of the 40 minutes and won by a final score of 87-74.
The Lions shot 52.2% from the floor for the game, while the Skyhawks shot 45.6%. Bryan shot an impressive 45.5% (10/22) from beyond the arc, while Point only shot 16.7% (2/12). The Lions recorded 30 rebounds, 10 less than their opponent. The Lions tallied only 10 turnovers, and forced the Skyhawks to turn over the ball 18 times. Bryan stole the ball 12 times. The Lions dished out 19 assists on the night.
Dion Fair and Rob Riley were the game's leading scorers with 22 points apiece. Fair also had seven assists, six steals, and six rebounds. Lavonte Henderson added 14 points and five rebounds. Tim Fortenberry finished with 12 points and five assists. Carrin Nash had 11 points and six rebounds.The Lions are now 8-11 overall and 3-2 in the AAC. They play again on Saturday at Bluefield College in a conference game. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00pm ET.
