The Bryan College Men's Basketball Team traveled to Bluefield College to compete in a conference game on Saturday. The Lions lost a heartbreaker by a final score of 68-67.
The Lions shot 51.9% from the floor for the game, and the Rams shot 47.9%. Bryan shot an impressive 50% (8/16) from beyond the arc, while Bluefield shot 37.5% (6/16). The Lions recorded 23 rebounds, seven less than their opponent. Bryan tallied only 11 turnovers, but Bluefield only had eight.
Dion Fair led the Lions in scoring with 19 points. Rob Riley added 16 points. Tim Fortenberry hit four three-pointers for 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Lavonte Henderson finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.The Lions are now 8-12 overall and 3-3 in the AAC. They play again on Wednesday at home in a conference game against Reinhardt University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
