Down two points with forty-eight seconds left on the clock, the Lions hit two free throws to tie the Virginia Intermont College Cobras at 70-all. The Cobras came down the floor and took a jumper and missed it, but the Lions were unable to secure the rebound as they lost it out of bounds. With 34 seconds remaining V.I. inbounded the ball and began to dribble the clock out. The Cobras attacked and missed the short shot, but once again the Lions were unable to get the rebound. V.I. secured the rebound and went right back up to score a layup and go up two points with 3.4 seconds remaining. Coach Rekoske called a timeout and set his team up. They came down the floor and got off a three-point attempt but it was just off the mark, bringing Bryan's season to a close.
  

Bryan jumped out to 11-4 lead to start the game, Tim Fortenberry scored nine of those points; however, V.I. score the next seven points to tie the game. Tied at 24 all, the Lions scored five straight points to take the lead and would hold onto it the rest of the half. The two teams went into the break with the score 37-33. Again in the second half, Bryan outscored V.I. 11-4 to start the half and build their lead up to 11 points, their largest of the game. The Cobras fought back and tied the game at 55 all with 9:17 left. They scored the next basket to take a small lead until the Lions tied the game at 70-all.

The Lions shot just 42.6% from the floor for the game, while the Cobras shot 50.0% from the floor. Both teams hit seven three pointers, but Bryan took 23 attempts and V.I. only took 14. The Lions recorded 31 rebounds for the game, four less than their opponent. Bryan only turned the ball over 10 times, and forced their opponent into 13 turnovers.

Tim Fortenberry led the Lions in scoring with 17 points. Dion Fair finished with 11 points, a game high seven assists, four rebounds, and a game high three steals. Josh Decker and TJ Smith added nine points apiece. Lavonte Henderson and Rob Riley each had eight points. Henderson had a game high 10 rebounds.

The Lions finish the season with an overall record of 13-18.
