In game one on Friday, the Bulldogs scored first crossing the plate in the first inning. The Lions tied the game in the fourth. However, TWC scored two runs in the fifth inning to take the lead and then one more in the sixth inning for the final score.
Jason Ridenhour started on the mound and received the loss. He gave up four runs, three earned, and eight hits as he pitched all six innings.
The Bulldogs pulled away in game two as they scored two runs in the first, three in the second, and four in the fourth. The Lions scored one run in their final at-bat.
Shane Clawson started on the mound and received the loss. He gave up five runs and five hits in two innings of work. Isaac Meyers pitched the third inning and began the fourth, giving up three runs and three hits. John Cain came in and got all three outs in the fourth and then pitched the following two innings. He gave up one run and three hits.
In the game on Saturday, the Bulldogs jumped out on top by scoring in the first inning. The Lions tied the game in the top of the fourth. TWC took their lead back in the bottom of the inning and extended it to 3-1 in the fifth. Both teams scored a run in the sixth inning to get the final score of 4-2.
Tanner Brown started on the mound and received the loss. He gave up four runs and five hits in five and two-thirds innings of work. Kenny Knudsen pitched the last two and one-third innings, giving up only two hits and zero runs.The Lions are now 32-16 overall and 11-7 in the AAC. They play again on this weekend in a three-game series against Point University at home. The single nine-inning game will be played on Friday night at 6:00pm ET. The doubleheader will be played Saturday and is scheduled to start at 1:00pm ET.
