In game one of the doubleheader, the Lions got on the scoreboard first as they crossed the plate once in the first inning. DeWayne Boyd hit a solo home run in the third inning to extend the lead. The Eagles scored two in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game. Bryan scored a run in the bottom of the inning to take back control of the game. Boyd hit a two-run home run in the fifth to give Bryan a three-run lead. The Lions added one final run in the sixth inning.
DeWayne Boyd led the offense with three runs batted in off of two home runs. Tyler Latham finished with one RBI and two hits. Billy Veal added one RBI and one hit. Doug Stroup recorded three hits for the game. Zach Vick tallied two hits. Steven Brown and Kevin Layne had one hit apiece.
Tanner Brown started on the mound for the Lions and earned the win to improve to 8-3 on the year. He gave up only two runs and four hits in seven innings of work. He recorded eight strikeouts for the game.
In game two, Point scored a run in the first inning. Shane Clawson hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the inning. Bryan added two more runs in the third inning and three more in the fourth inning. Tyler Latham hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning to extend the lead. Both teams scored a run in the sixth inning. The Eagles scored three runs in their final at-bat.

Jason Ridenhour started on the mound and earned the win, now 7-4 overall. He gave up five runs, four earned, and seven hits in seven innings. He struck out six batters.

The Eagles scored three runs in the fifth to take the lead. Clawson hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to tie the game. The Lions' offense then scored five runs in the seventh and two in the eighth inning to pull away.

John Cain came in to pitch next and earned the win, improving to 3-0 on the season. He gave up just one hit while holding the opponent scoreless in three and two-thirds innings of work. Zach Breazeale pitched the ninth inning, giving up one hit and zero runs.The Lions play again this Tuesday in a single nine-inning game at home against Tennessee Temple University.
