Perez said, "I chose Bryan because of the Christian surrounding." As to cheering she commented, "I wanted to get involved while at Bryan. Dancing has always been a passion of mine and since Bryan does not have dancing, cheering was the next option. I am so glad that I am going to get to cheer for the Bryan Lions!"
Bryan cheer coach Janice Perron stated, "I am looking forward to Adriana joining our team this fall. Adriana will bring our team a little international flare. She has a great smile and a fantastic attitude. Adriana and Cori have already been working hard this spring and that ‘I can do anything attitude' will be a great help at camp and during the season. Adriana is transferring in as a junior with dance and choreography background. I can see great things in store for her here at Bryan and God's plan for her future."
Outside of cheering, Perez is her YAI Dance Team captain and volunteers as an Awana worker. She plans on majoring in Education.
When Burke was asked why she chose Bryan, she stated, "I felt like that's where God wanted me. When I visited the campus I fell in love with it. Also, I wanted to be involved and cheerleading is perfect."
"I have been so impressed this spring by Cori! Her sunny attitude is contagious! She has also shown already how hard she is willing to work to get things right! Cori has a varied athletic and dance background. She is transferring in as a junior. I am so happy to welcome her to the team this fall! God has been with her up till now and I can't wait to see what he has for her in the future," remarked Perron.
Burke is also on the YAI Dance Team and volunteers as an Awana worker and for the Boys and Girls Club. She plans to get her degree in Education.
Raines said he chose Bryan because, "It is a small Christian school. It seems like a very professional atmosphere with a lot of dedication and enthusiasm."
Perron said, "I am very excited that Robert will be joining the Lions Cheer team this fall. I have been impressed already this spring by his dedication, work ethic and his love of working out!! His strength will enable our team to move into coed stunts, as well as control and power for our traditional stunts. This is a new direction for our team, but I am looking forward to seeing where God will be leading Robert and the team in the future."Raines has also been involved in ROTC, and has earned the Noncommissioned Officers' Association of America Medal and the Military Officers' Association of America Medal.
