Head Coach Rodney Stoker resigns from Bryan College. He has been the men's and women's Cross Country and Track & Field coach for the past seven years. Stoker has accepted the position as Assistant Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Stoker has been the head coach since the restarting of the program in 2005. In those seven years, he was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year four times as he led the team to four conference championships. Stoker has had four different athletes receive nine different All-American Honors during his tenure.

"Bryan has been and will always be a home to me and my family. People often ask what is it about Bryan College that has allowed the cross country program and other athletic teams to be so successful. The answer is in the question - it is the people. The student-athletes that were recruited to Dayton and believed from day one that they could get the job done are the biggest contributor to that success. The support that has been shown from alumni has always kept the team motivated to know they were backed by such great men and women. The entire athletic staff, their passion and their friendships go a long way. The administration and super staff that you can come in contact with each day make it such an incredible place. The students and surrounding community have always been in the corner of the athletic teams on the Hill. God has blessed my family in many ways and the last seven years is one of the biggest blessings I can count in my lifetime," remarked Stoker.

Athletic Director Sandy Zensen stated, "Rodney has done a remarkable job throughout the years for the Lions and has represented Bryan College on a regional and national level with distinction and a high degree of professionalism. We will miss him greatly as a respected colleague and a trusted friend."
