Bryan Head David Shumaker stated, "I am both happy for Taylor and gratified for the whole Bryan College volleyball program because of this honor. I am gratified for the team because this is a sign that the program is growing enough to receive national attention. This award reflects not only Taylor's accomplishments, but it also reflects the whole team's hard work over the past two seasons. I am thrilled for Taylor because this is an appropriate award for the hard work and dedication she has shown in this sport. Taylor is constantly working to improve at her craft. It is particularly gratifying to see her recognized at the national level. I couldn't be happier for Taylor."
