The Bryan College men's basketball team traveled to Montreat College on Thursday to compete in a conference game against the Cavaliers. The Lions shot the ball well, hitting an impressive 56.9% from the floor. Bryan led 42-36 at halftime, and then rained in 56 points in the second half to score a season high in points. The Lions won by a final score of 98-70.
In the Lions' remarkable second half, they hit 22 of their 36 attempts from the floor. For the game, Bryan hit 12 of their 21 three-point shots. The Lions tallied 36 rebounds, 9 more than their opponent.
Rob Riley had a game high 27 points and 5 steals in his return to the court for the Lions. Brandon Cole finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Robert Troino hit 4 three-pointers and totaled 14 points for the game. Tim Fortenberry and Alan Holt added 13 and 10 points, respectively. Carrin Nash scored 8 points to go with his game high 9 rebounds. Rafael Tyler dished out a game high 6 assists.
The Lions are now 5-9 overall and 1-1 in the AAC. They play again on Saturday in a conference game at home against Virginia Intermont College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
