The Bryan College men's basketball team went on the road on Thursday night to compete in a conference game at Point University. For the second consecutive game, the result came down to the wire. This time the Lions came out on top as Rob Riley hit a shot with just 9 seconds remaining to take a one-point lead. Point missed a last-second shot attempt. Bryan won by a final score of 69-68.
The Lions shot 48.3% from the floor for the game, while the Skyhawks shot 38.7%. Bryan tallied 32 rebounds, 4 less than their opponent. The Lions won the turnover battle.
Rob Riley led the Lions in scoring with 17 points. Tim Fortenberry finished with 14 points. Brandon Cole added 11 points. Robert Troino recorded 9 points. Rafael Tyler and Derrick Walker had 8 points apiece.
The Lions are now 6-11 overall and 2-3 in the AAC. They play again on Saturday at home in a conference game against St. Andrews University. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00pm ET.
