The Bryan College men's basketball team traveled to Waleska, Ga., to take on the Eagles of Reinhardt University on Wednesday night. The two teams went back and forth in the first half and went into the locker rooms at the break with the score 54-48 with the Lions in the lead. In the second half the Eagles cut the lead down to one point several times, but the Lions were able to hold them off and keep the lead for the entire half. Bryan won by a final score of 90-82.
The Lions shot 55.2% from the floor for the game, while the Eagles shot 41.9%. Bryan tallied 42 rebounds, 4 more than their opponent. The Lions won the turnover battle by 2.
The Lions had six different players score double digits. Rob Riley led the Lions in scoring with 20 points. Brandon Cole finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Derrick Walker had a double-double with 10 points and a game high 14 rebounds. He also had a game high 6 assists. Rafael Tyler added 12 points. Robert Troino tallied 11 points. Carrin Nash recorded 10 points apiece.
The Lions are now 8-11 overall and 4-3 in the AAC. They play again on Saturday in a conference game at home against Union College. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00pm ET.
