The Bryan College men's basketball team hosted the Union College Bulldogs on Saturday. The Lions jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game. They led the entire half and went into the locker room at halftime leading 33-19. In the second half, the Bulldogs got back into the game and the two teams swapped the lead eight times. Bryan took the lead back for good with 2:19 remaining in the game and won 73-69.
The Lions shot 42.1% from the floor for the game, while the Bulldogs shot 41.2%. Bryan was outrebounded but won the turnover battle.
Robert Troino hit five 3-pointers and led the Lions in scoring with 17 points. Rob Riley finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and a team high 5 assists. Derrick Walker had 14 points, a team high 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and a team high 4 steals. Brandon Cole added 11 points and 6 rebounds.
The Lions are now 9-11 overall and 5-3 in the AAC. They play again on Wednesday in a conference game at Tennessee Wesleyan College. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30pm ET.
