The Bryan College men's basketball team traveled across the river to take on the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan College, who are sitting at the top of the conference and are receiving votes to be ranked in the top 25. The Lions trailed 42-29 at halftime. In the second half, the Bulldogs continued to pull away and won by a final score of 85-63.
The Lions shot 41.1% from the floor for the game, while the Bulldogs shot 51.6%. Bryan was outrebounded but won the turnover battle.
Rob Riley led the Lions in scoring with 17 points. He also had a game high 4 steals. Rafael Tyler and Tim Fortenberry added 12 and 9 points, respectively. Derrick Walker finished with 8 pints and 7 rebounds. Carrin Nash also had 8 points. Brandon Cole recorded a team high 8 rebounds to go with his 7 points.
The Lions are now 9-12 overall and 5-4 in the AAC. They play again on Tuesday in a conference game at home against Montreat College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
