The Bryan College men's basketball team traveled to St. Andrews University to compete against the Knights this afternoon. The Lions trailed most of the first half but went on a 7-0 run to close it out and take a 26-25 lead into the break. Bryan led for most of the second half. However, the Knights hit a 3-pointer with 19 seconds remaining in the game to tie the score at 55. The Lions came down the floor, missed a shot, rebounded the ball, and then Robert Troino hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to get the 58-55 win. The Bryan men are now 2-4 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Bryan shot 42.5% from the floor for the game, while St. Andrews shot 44.0%. The Lions won the battle on the boards 32-28. Neither team had a lot of turnovers as Bryan had 12 and St. Andrews had 10.
The Lions play again on Tuesday at Lee University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00pm ET.
