The Bryan College men's basketball team hosted the Skyhawks of Point University tonight. The Lions scored the first seven points of the game. However, the Skyhawks went on a 31-11 run to take their largest lead of the game. Bryan trailed 40-30 at the break. With just under four minutes remaining in the game, the Lions went on a 7-0 run to cut the lead down to one point, 63-62, with 34 seconds left in the game. However, Point hit seven of eight free throws down the stretch to win 70-65. The Bryan men are now 3-6 overall and 2-1 in the AAC.
Brandon Cole led the Lions with 22 points and 4 rebounds. Robert Troino finished with 13 points. Terrell Maryland recorded 10 points and a team high 6 rebounds. Hunter Chastain and Alan Holt added 8 and 6 points, respectively.
Bryan shot 42.6% from the floor for the game, while Point shot 43.4%. Bryan lost the battle on the boards by one and lost the turnover battle by four.
The Lions play again on Wednesday, December 4, in a conference game at Reinhardt University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
