The Bryan College men's basketball team hosted Milligan College tonight. The Lions jumped out to an 18-5 lead to start the game. BC took a 37-20 lead into the break. Milligan cut the lead down to six, but then Bryan pulled away by as many as 24 points. The Buffaloes pulled to within seven points in the final 30 seconds of the game, but that was as close as they would get. The Lions won by a final score of 90-81 to improve to 7-8 overall and 3-2 in the AAC.
Brandon Cole led the Lions with 32 points and a career high 20 rebounds, his ninth double-double of the season. Derrick Walker saw his first action of the season and finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Bryan Landers recorded 14 points. Logan Sharp and Robert Troino added 11 points apiece. Caleb Parson had a team high 4 assists and 5 points.
Bryan shot 45.1% from the floor for the game, while holding Milligan to just 36.4%. The Lions won the battle on the boards 55-36 but lost the turnover battle by 21-12.
The Lions play again Saturday at Montreat College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
