The Bryan College men's basketball team hosted the Knights of St. Andrews University. The Knights started the game on a 6-0 run. They built their lead up to as many as eight points. The Lions crawled back and took a three point lead. St. Andrews scored the final five points of the half to take a 31-29 lead into halftime. In the second half, the Lions slowly built a 10 point lead and won by a final score of 59-52. The Bryan men are now 10-10 overall and 6-4 in the AAC.
Brandon Cole led the Lions with 20 points and 13 rebounds for his thirteenth double-double on the season. Robert Troino added 11 points. Bryan Landers finished with 10 points and a game high 4 steals. Derrick Walker recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds, a team high 4 assists, and 3 steals. Terrell Maryland notched 8 rebounds.
Bryan shot 32.7% from the floor, while St. Andrews shot 39.6%. The Lions lost the battle on the boards 36-38 but won the turnover battle 16-17.
The Lions play again Wednesday at Virginia Intermont College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
