The Bryan College men's basketball team traveled to Bristol, Va., to take on Virginia Intermont College tonight. The Lions fell behind 7-0 to start the game. The Cobras built their lead up to as many as nine points. Bryan fought back and took a 45-39 lead into the break. The Lions never trailed in the second half as they built their lead all the way up to 21 points and won by a final score of 94-48. The Bryan men are now 11-10 overall and 7-4 in the AAC.
Brandon Cole led the Lions in scoring with 30 points. He also grabbed 6 rebounds. Robert Troino finished with 21 points. Derrick Walker recorded 19 points, a team high 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Caleb Tuck added 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Caleb Parsons had 4 assists and a game high 4 steals.
Bryan shot 46.97% from the floor, while VI shot 45.61%. The Lions won the battle on the boards 42-38 and won the turnover battle 15-10.
The Lions play again Friday at home verse Berea College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
