Brandon Cole was named the AAC's Men's Basketball Player of the Week. This is the fourth time that he has won the award; it has only been given nine times so far this season. The 6'2 sophomore from Crossville, Tenn., received this honor for his performance on the court January 20-26. Cole led the Lions to two conference wins on the week. On Saturday, he scored a career high 36 points. Cole leads the conference in scoring, rebounds, rebounds per game, and double-doubles. On the national level, he is currently 2nd in total rebounds per game (11.318), 2nd in total rebounds (249), 2nd in double-doubles (13), 3rd in offensive rebounds per game (4.091), 5th in defensive rebounds per game (7.227), 5th in total scoring (548), and 6th in points per game (24.909).
Cole will look to help lead the Lions in their two games this week as they take on conference opponents Point University and Reinhardt University.
