For the second game in a row the Bryan College men's basketball team scored a basket in the closing seconds to get a one point win over a conference opponent. This game Derrick Walker followed a missed shot and dunked it home with 1.8 seconds remaining on the clock to give BC the 72-71 lead. Point came down the floor and tried to take a shot, but Caleb Parsons blocked the attempt. The Lions are now 14-10 overall and 9-4 in the AAC.
There were 23 lead changes and 13 ties throughout the game. The score was tied at 36 at halftime.
Brandon Cole led the Lions with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Robert Troino finished with 18 points, a team high 4 assists, and 2 steals. Derrick Walker recorded 12 points. Caleb Tuck added 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Bryan shot 44.8% from the floor, and Point shot 44.4% for the game. The Lions won the battle on the boards 39-26. Bryan finished with 13 turnovers for the game; Point had 11.
The Lions play again on Saturday at Milligan College. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00pm ET.
