The Bryan College men's basketball team took the short trip down Highway 30 to Tennessee Wesleyan College for a conference battle today. The Lions fell behind 12-4 to start the game. However, an 8-0 run for Bryan tied the game at 16. The Lions took their first lead at 20-18 and built their lead up to 8 points. Bryan led 36-30 at the break. TWC started the second half on a 19-3 run to take the lead for good. They led by as many as 12 points. The Lions cut the lead down three points several times in the final minutes but could not regain control, losing by a final score of 82-75. The Bryan men are now 14-12 overall and 9-6 in the AAC.
Brandon Cole led the Lions with 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals. Derek Walker finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Robert Troino recorded 12 points and 3 steals. Caleb Tuck added 6 points and 7 rebounds. Alan Holt had 6 points and 4 assists.
The Lions shot 40.7% from the floor, while the Bulldogs shot 38.9% for the game. Bryan lost the battle on the boards by 1 and the turnover battle by 6.
The Lions play again on Monday at home verse Montreat College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
