The Bryan College baseball team swept the first AAC weekly honors of the season. LJ Rowden was named the Pitcher of the Week, and Justin Morhardt was named the Player of the Week. They received these honors for their performances on the field February 24 through March 2. The Lions went 3-1 on the week, including a three game sweep of a conference opponent.
Rowden, a 6'2 sophomore lefty from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., pitched a complete game on Friday night and earned the conference win. He struck out nine batters in nine innings of work.
Morhardt is a 6'3 freshman first baseman from Winsted, Conn. He hit a homerun in each of the three conference games over the weekend and recorded seven RBIs in the series. Morhardt is currently 4th in the NAIA in homeruns.
