The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the first regular season NAIA Men's Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Lions are currently receiving votes to be ranked in the top 25. This comes after Bryan started the season with a 22-13 record, including two wins over then ranked No. 8 Tennessee Wesleayn. The Lions are currently ranked No. 1 total hits (365), No. 3 in batting average (.348), No. 3 slugging percentage (.514), No. 3 in total doubles (73), No. 4 in home runs per game (.886), No. 5 in total runs batted in (212), No. 7 in doubles per game (2.086), No. 8 in hits per game (10.429), No. 8 in total runs scored (234), No. 12 in total stolen bases (76), No. 18 in total at bats (1048), and No. 19 in runs batted in per game (6.057).
They will try to climb into the top 25 in the second edition which will be released next Tuesday, April 1. The Lions won two games last night after the poll was released. Bryan will host Reinhardt University in a three-game conference series this weekend.
