The Bryan College baseball team hosted Reinhardt University today for a doubleheader. The Lions lost game one 6-2 and game two 2-0. The baseball team is now 22-16 overall and 8-7 in the AAC.
In game one, the Eagles scored five runs in the third inning. The Lions scored their only two runs in the bottom of the inning off of a two-run homerun by Kevin Roberts. Reinhardt added one run in the sixth inning.
Hunter Tipton started on the mound for the Lions and received the loss. He gave up five runs and four hits in two and one-third innings of work. Jared Breazeale pitched the next four and two-thirds innings. He gave up one unerearned run and two hits. He struck out four batters.
In game two, the Eagles scored a run in their first and last at-bat for their two runs.
Tristan Speak started on the mound and received the loss. He gave up one run and three hits in four and two-thirds innings of work. John Cain threw an inning and gave up just one hit while striking out two batters. Kenny Knudsen pitched the final one and one-third innings of work. He gave up one run and two hits.
The Lions play again Friday at home against Milligan College. The single nine-inning game is scheduled to start at 6:00pm ET.
