The Lions fell to the hot bats of the Reinhardt College Eagles yesterday.

Bryan scored first in the top of the second inning as Jordan Day knocked in Zach Bowe. However, the Eagles responded by scoring 3 in the bottom of the inning, and again in every inning afterwards. The Lions' only other run came in the fourth inning on a home run by Drew Brown. The home was Drew Brown's first in his career at Bryan.

The Lions had5 hitsfor the game. Jonathan Davis and Drew Brown each had2 apiece, and Jordan Day had one as well. Jordan Day and Drew Brown each had an RBI.

Matt Hicks started on the mound for the Lions and was given the loss. He pitched 3 & 1/3 innings and gave up 7 runs. Patrick Miller relieved him pitching the last 2 & 2/3 innings.

The Lions are now 4-9 overall. They open conference play this weekend at home in a 3-game series against King College. The first game will be Friday night at 7:00 PM EST. The game will be followed by a double header starting at 1:00 PM EST on Saturday.
