In game 3 of the Red/White World Series, the White Team defense combined with an excellent outing from starter Mark Barnwell, shut down the Red Team offense holding them to 2 runs over six innings and only 2 hits. "I got ahead with fastball, pitched to contact, and let my defense do the rest," Barnwell said. The Red Team hit the ball hard several times but were unable to get a hit until the 6th inning when Tyler Wooden and Shane Clawson hit back to back home runs accounting for the only hits and runs of the game. The White Team on the other hand again had a strong offensive day behind Gordy Hendrix who went 3-4 with 2 RBI's and a HR. "We took care of the little things today: played defense, quality at-bats, throwing strikes, and that's all we needed," Senior Captain Will Newman said. "When we come out focused and ready to play we're tough to beat."
