Crossville, TN- The Bryan College Lions took the court Saturday night at Stone Memorial High School, as a Homecoming of sorts for the 6 Lions players from Crossville. On this night, of many special moments, the Lions took a 2-0 lead and never looked back having the lead the entire game in a 95-69 win over the Royals of Johnson University. Making two straight 25 plus point wins to start the Lions season.
Junior All American Brandon Cole, coming fresh off a 40 point performance Wednesday night versus Hiwassee College, scored the first 11 points of the night for the Lions on three field goals inside the 3 point arc and 1 from outside on assists from Freshman Oteriah Lee, Junior Jeff Long and Senoir Alan Holt who led the team with 7 assists for the game. Cole ended the night with, another 40 plus point game, a game high 44 points.
Fellow Junior Robert Troino came into the game, and picked up where he left off in a hot preseason, hitting several shots, grabbing rebounds and creating a mismatch chaos for the Royals all night. Troino's mix of hitting 3 point shots and taking the ball to the rim seemed to much as he ended with 21 points on the night.
