The Bryan College men's basketball team opened conference play with a decisive 69-48 win over St. Andrews University on Wednesday night.
The game was close throughout the first half with the lead exchanging hands several times. Brandon Cole, Robert Troino, and Oteriah Lee all made big contributions throughout the first half in which the Lions led 31-28 at the half. The second half Bryan got up 9 quickly as their defense and rebounding took hold as they methodically outscored St. Andrews by 18 in the second half. Alan Holt got the Lions off to a good start in the second half with an early 3 point play and 3 big rebounds, while Brandon Cole and Robert Troino carried the Lions to the eventual 69-48 win. For the game Brandon Cole had 27 points and 12 rebounds, Robert Troino had 19 points, and Oteriah Lee had 12 points. Bryan shot 51% from the field and over 92% from the free throw line, while St. Andrews shot 31% from the field. Bryan out-rebounded St. Andrews 37-25.
