The Lions were defeated in all 3 games in their series against King College.

In game one the Tornado's bats started off hot, scoring 5 runs in the first inning. Their biggest inning came in the 5th when they scored 7 runs. That was also the biggest inning for the Lions, as they were able to score 4 runs. The Lions' 7 errors for the game made for the biggest difference.

Bryan actually outhit the Tornado 10-8. Will Newman and Ryan Henn each had 2 hits. Jon Brown hit a 3-run homerun in the 5th inning.

Mark Barnwell was the starting pitcher for the Lions. He received the loss after 4 innings of work, in which he gave up 13 runs on 3 hits. He walked 7 batters and struck out 3. Daniel Zimmerman came in and pitched the final 3 innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits. He walked 5 batters and struck out 2. Benny Fuller got the win for the Tornado.

In the second game, the Lions were shut out. King started strong again, scoring in the 1st inning. Their biggest inning came in the 4th as they were able to score 4 runs.
 
The Lions were held to only 3 hits. Jonathan Davis had 2 of them while Ryan Henn had the third.
Zach Breazeale was the starting pitcher for Bryan. He worked 3 & 1/3 innings giving up 7 runs on 7 hits. Ben Young came in and pitched the final 3 & 2/3 innings giving up 2 hits, but no runs. He walked only one batter and struck out 4. Tyler Perkins earned the win for King.

The third and final game of the series was the closest. The Lions fell 3-7. King jumped out to the lead scoring in the 1st once again. Bryan scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning to tie the
game, but King scored their next at bat to take the lead back for good.
 
The Lions had 7 hits for the game. Each came from a different player. Will Newman and Jonathan Brown each had an RBI.
Tyler Brown was the starting pitcher for the Lions. He pitched 5 innings and gave up 5 runs on 8 hits. Ben Young came in and pitched the final 4 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits. Hunter Newby was the winning pitcher for the Tornado.

The Lions are now 4-12 overall and 0-3 in the conference. They play again this Friday and Saturday in a 3-game series against Montreat College. The first game will be Friday night at 5:00 PM EST.
