Winston-Salem, NC - Bryan College Track & Field opened the outdoor track and field season with success at the Wake Forest Open.  The two day event took place at Kentner Stadium and hosted over 1,200 athletes from 40 different schools.

Junior Josh Bradley took second in the men's 800 meter run with a time of 1:52.70 on Friday afternoon. He came back Saturday to finish at 4:04.38 and take fourth in section three of the men's 1500 meter run. Sophomore Colby Smith ran the same two events with performances of 2:01.89 and 4:15.41.
Freshman Ericka Simpson (Grayson, GA) set a new school record in the women's 5000 meter run at 19:42.92.
Sophomores Hunter Hall (Brentwood, TN) and Zach Buffington (Ooltewah, TN) finished 10th and 12th in section two of the men's 5000 meter run with times of 15:45.29 and 15:47.04.
"Ericka got her first taste of five thousand meters and I thought she did a fine job. She can make a few adjustments and run much faster this outdoor season. The men did a solid job as well. Hunter had a great start to the outdoor season after some breakthrough races indoors. Josh surprised me in the eight, as he hasn't done much after the indoor season," commented Head Coach Rodney Stoker.
The men and women will travel to the Milligan Relays on Thursday, March 26th. The event is set to start at 2:45 PM ET.
