Nashville, Tenn. – Bryan College's Brandon Cole (SR/Crossville, Tenn.) was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday, posting three straight double-doubles and averaging 27.0 points and 13.7 rebounds in three contests for the Lions.
The Crossville, Tenn., native posted 30 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists against Point University, hitting 9-of-15 shots and making 12-of-18 at the foul line in the victory. The 6-foot-2 senior center followed that with 20 points and 14 boards at Milligan College. Cole collected his 10th double-double of the season versus Montreat College with 31 points and 15 rebounds along with four assists, connecting on 9-of-19 shots and going 13-for-17 at the foul line.
Cole ranks first nationally in NAIA Division II in total scoring (495), second in points per game (29.1), second in total rebounds (192), and third in rebounds per game (11.2) while leading the Appalachian Athletic Conference in these categories.
