The Lions played host yesterday to the Eagles of Reinhardt College. The Eagles will be making the move to the AAC next year, which will make them a conference opponent. Reinhardt scored 9 runs in the 2nd inning to make the difference. The Lions outscored the Eagles 10-8 the rest of the game.
   
The Lions tallied a total of 14 hits. Drew Brown led the way going 4-for-4 in the game. Doug Stroup, Reid Merwin, and Steven Brown each added two hits apiece. Will Newman hit a 2-run homerun in the 1st inning. In the 4th inning Zach Bowe hit a solo homerun, and Ryan Henn hit a 3-run homerun.
 
Bryan had 4 different pitchers see the mound throughout the game. Daniel Zimmerman was the starting and losing pitcher. He pitched the 1st inning, giving up 4 runs on 3 hits while walking 3 and striking out 2. Mark Barnwell came in and pitched the 2nd inning, giving up 9 runs on 3 hits while walking 6 batters. Drew Brown came in and pitched the next 6 innings for his first college pitching experience. He gave up 4 runs, but struck out 5 batters. Jordan Day came in to pitch the 9th inning for his first appearance of the season on the mound. He faced 4 batters, walking one and getting the other three to fly out.
 
The Lions are now 4-29 overall. They will take on Lee University today at home. The game is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM ET.
