LaGrandge, Ga. – Krista Reinhardt (SO/Tampa, Fla.), playing in her first tournament of the fall 2016, shot the second day low round at the women's Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Championship held at the Highland's Country Club in LaGrange, Ga. registering a 77. Reinhardt was coming off an injury last spring and was not able to play in earlier tournaments. She had finished 3rd overall in the spring of 2016 in the AAC and was hoping to make a run again this year for the conference player of the year. Her 85 and 77 for 162 on a challenging course put her in 7th place heading into spring 2017. She helped lead the Bryan Lions to a 347 and 344 for 695, which ranked them 7th place out of 11 of their conference foes.
Second to Reinhardt was junior transfer, Sarah Falcon (JR/San Angelo, Tex.), who fired an 88 and 85 for 173 to finish in 26th place. Also placing were Helen Busch (SO/Amherst, N.Y.) at 182, Christina Lee (JR/Loudon, Tenn.) at 183, and Emily Hutson (FR/Oneida, Tenn.) at 186.
"It was wonderful having Krista back on the course and able to play pain free on the second day of play," said Head Coach, Peter Bollant. "Her score kept her in the running for player of the year next spring. As a team, I'm extremely impressed by our scores on a very difficult course, which shows how much the team has improved this fall having come down 40 strokes. We are excited about next spring and look forward to being able to move up even further."
