NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bryan College's Wade Weinburger (FR/James Cistern, Bahamas) was named the Baseball Player of the Week by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association on Tuesday for his performances for February 27-March 5.

Weinburger batted .714 (5-for-7) with three homeruns, eight RBIs and six runs scored in three games against fellow Appalachian Athletic Conference foe St. Andrews University (N.C.). The James Cistern, Bahamas, native collected three hits, three runs scored, and three RBIs along with a homer in the series opener.

The freshman outfielder added a two-run bomb in the second game of the series and posted two hits, three RBIs, and another homerun in the series finale. Weinburger is batting .364 with six doubles, seven homeruns, 21 RBIs, and 29 runs scored in 21 games this season.
