Dayton, Tenn. – On Monday, the league announced the first edition of the weekly honors for Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, and Bryan College's Brad Spooner (SO/Norwich, England) was named the Offensive Player of the Week.

Brad Spooner - Bryan - Soph. - Norwich, England
- Scored 3 goals on the week.
- Had 2 goals in a 5-1 win over Bob Jones.
- Netted a goal in a 3-1 win over No. 12 Thomas (Ga.)
- This is his first weekly award this season.

Spooner returns to the Lion's squad after his debut season where he netted nine goals and dished out five assists, earning the title of AAC Freshman of the Year. This week, Spooner helped Bryan to a promising start to the 2017 season by overwhelming Bob Jones University at home in convincing fashion 5-1 and then traveling to No. 12 Thomas University (Ga.) where the No. 11 Lions topped the Night Hawks with a 3-1 final. He found the back of the net twice in the season opening victory against the Bruins and recorded a lone goal against Thomas. His trio of goals makes him the current goals leader for the Lions.
