COVINGTON, Ga.—The Bryan College Men's Golf team finished eighth in the SCAD Atlanta Fall Invitational at the Oaks Golf Course Tuesday.
The Lion's finished at 596 (+28) for the tournament, 26 shots behind the winner William Carey University (Miss.).
"I see a lot of potential after last weeks performance at Crooked Creek," said Coach Peter Bollant. "We have got to eliminate some of our mental errors for us to be in contention at the AAC Fall Invitational in a couple of weeks."
Bollant added, "we still need to improve our short game, especially putting."
The Oaks Course measures in at 6,532 yards —low-scores are a must to secure a top spot at the end of the two-days. Taking home the medalist honors was Philip Nijoka from Loyola – New Orleans after rounds of 70 (-1) and 65 (-6) respectively.
Kevin Knudsen (SO/Suwanee, Ga.) (So.) led the Lions after firing an even-par 71. Knudsen was 4 under through 11 holes, but stumbled down the stretch to position him two-shots behind the leader.
Williams led the team in scoring on day-two after an even-par 71 plunged him into a tie for 20 with Coffelt at 148 (+6).
The Lions are back on the course at the AAC Fall Invitational on Oct. 9 at Bull Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Ga.
