The Bryan College Men's Golf program signed Jacob Davis yesterday. Davis is the first recruit to sign with the newly started program, which will begin competition in the 2010-2011 school year.

Davis is currently a senior at Rhea County High School. He was named to the All-District Team this past season. Rhea County High School Head Coach Mack Beaty said, "Jacob was our best player all year long. He is a joy to be around."
"I chose Bryan because I really like the coach and the atmosphere of the college," said Davis, "I also like Bryan because it is close to home."
"I'm excited because he is our first signee and a local kid," commented Bryan College Head Golf Coach Peter Bollant, "We are building a program here with a strong local emphasis and Davis starts us in the right direction." Coach Bollant went on to say that he believes Tennessee is a strong area for talented young golfers, and hopes that Davis is the first of many local student-athletes to join the new program.
