Bryan Softball has signed Erica Morris. She is the second signee for the restarted program, which will begin competing next school year. Erica will be playing her senior year of softball this spring for Coach Jeff Stones at Boyd Buchanan School in Chattanooga, TN.
In her junior year, Erica batted third base, hitting .377 with an on base percentage of .491. She saw playing time at both third base and catcher. Coach Stone states, "Erica has been a versatile softball player for the Lady Bucs. She has the arm strength to play several positions. Erica is the type of athlete that you want in your line up, both offensively and defensively. She plays with great intensity, she is a competitor. Erica will be a great addition to the Bryan softball program because she is a very capable softball player, but more than that a fine young person."
"Erica will be looked upon for her athletic ability to work as a utility player for us," commented Bryan College Head Softball Coach Rocky Stinson, "She could get playing time at a couple of different positions. I really want to do my best to recruit the local talent in this region. I believe Erica's persona covers what we are looking for at Bryan. She is a great student-athlete for Boyd-Buchanan, and we are excited to have her continue that at Bryan."
