The Lions traveled to Bristol, VA, on Saturday to compete against the Cobras of Virginia Intermont. With five teams tied for the top spot in the conference and one loss, the Lions need to win out for a chance at the conference championship. Bryan took care of business against V.I., defeating the Cobras 6-0, resulting in the most goals in a game for the Lions this season.
Bryan scored 3 goals in each half of the game. Bennie Bardales and Harry Sherwood led the way, scoring two goals apiece. Tom Hemmings and Jonathan Houghton each added a goal. Hemmings also had three assists, and Bardales had one as well.
The Lions improve to 6-5 overall and 3-1 in the AAC. They play again on Tuesday at home against Reinhardt College. Reinhardt, a new team to our conference, is one of the five teams sitting at the top with just one loss in conference play. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm ET.
