Bryan College's Harry Sherwood was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Defensive Player of the Week for his performances last week. Sherwood, a 6'1" sophomore from Bristol, England, helped lead the Lions to two conference wins for the week. As one of the two starting center backs, Sherwood helps anchor the defense by controlling the air and playing great balls out of the back. He is also an offensive threat when he pushes forward out of the back. In Wednesday's game against Montreat, Sherwood scored a goal and had an assist as the Lions won 4-1. On Saturday, he scored another goal in the Lions 3-0 win over Bluefield. He looks to help lead the Lions to a win in their final game this Saturday at home against the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
