Black Mountain, NC - Bryan College won the AAC Cross Country Championship for the second time in three years on Saturday at Montreat College's mountain campus course. The NAIA's 9th ranked Lions totaled 20 points, led by seven All-Conference performances. Milligan College finished 2nd with 49 points after winning last year's Championship.

Sophomore Bryson Harper (Pikeville, TN) finished in the runner-up spot at 26:40 over the rolling 8- kilometer layout, as Bryan's top five swept the two through six individual positions. Junior Josh Bradley (Ringgold, GA) and Freshman Jason McLeod (Ocoee, FL) were 3rd and 4th with times of 27:00 and 27:02, respectively. Junior Zach Buffington (Ooltewah, TN) and Senior Daniel Goetz (Chattanooga, TN) completed the scoring in the 5th and 6th positions at 27:13 and 27:21. Hunter Hall (Brentwood, TN) and Jake Bradley finished 8th and 10th. Each of the athletes was named to the AAC All-Conference Team. McLeod was the top freshman, and along with Bradley made the All-Freshmen Team.  Junior Colby Smith (Dayton, TN) competed for the Lions and finished 17th.
"Our men ran well today. Another step in the right direction for our program, and we are looking forward to the opportunity to compete in Vancouver.  It was the best 1-5 split we've had all season on a fairly tough course, so that should help us at the National Championship," said Head Coach Rodney Stoker.
The men will travel to Vancouver, WA, to compete in the 53rd NAIA Cross Country Championship on November 21.
