The Bryan College Baseball team helped Frazier Elementary School put on their Fall Festival last Saturday, November 7. The baseball players manned different games, rides, a maze, and several giant inflatable games, helping a few hundred young kids have a fun celebration of Fall in their many different costumes. "We had a lot of fun, I just wish I had had something like this when I was in elementary school!" commented Senior infielder Ryan Henn.
Former Lion third baseman Will Newman, who is now a teacher at Frazier, encouraged the school and the baseball program to partner in this endeavor. Charlene Schwenk, a teacher at Frazier, was ecstatic about Bryan's players helping out, "[h]ow great it was for our little ones to see your Big Guys helping out our school while they are attending college to pursue their life's work!"
"It is so important for our young men to learn that there is more to life than just baseball and college life," said Taylor Hasty, the head baseball coach at Bryan College, "As we seek to impact our community in the name of Christ, opportunities like this one with the elementary school kids are a great way in which to do that."
