The men's soccer team will compete in the 2009 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round on Saturday against Southern Polytechnic State University. It is the first time in the program's history that they will compete in the NAIA National Tournament.

 
The Lions have qualified for the National Championship Opening Round by winning an automatic bid for winning their conference tournament. They finished second in the conference in the regular season. Bryan currently has a record of 11-7.
 
The Hornets have been given an at-large bid for the National Championship Opening Round. They finished the season ranked as #4 in the nation. They won their Regular Season Conference Championship but were knocked out of their conference tournament in the semi-finals by Lee University. Southern Poly has a record of 13-1-1.
 
The game will take place at Southern Poly in Marietta, GA. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00pm ET. The cost of admission will be $8 for adults and $5 for students and youth. No passes will be accepted except for the official NAIA pass.
