The Lions hosted the Cobras of Virginia Intermont College on Wednesday. For the third straight game the Lions held their opponents, scoring in the 40's to defeat the Cobras 71-47. 

The top-ranked Lions proved to be too much for the last-place Cobras from the start. The Lions built their first half lead up to as much as 10 points before going into the locker room ahead 31-22 at halftime. The Cobras' zone looked to be successful in the first half until Tyler Clark came off the bench to hit three 3-pointers in the half. The Lions continued to pour it on in the second half, outscoring the Cobras by 15 for the half to win by the final 71-47.

The Lions outrebounded the Cobras 45-27. They also made 17 free throws while their opponents only shot 14 for the game.

Astral Guerrier led Bryan with 16 points and 18 rebounds. Keith Bauer also had 16 points while grabbing 9 rebounds. Scott Newton added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Tyler Clark finished with 12 points from hitting four 3-pointers.

Marquette Knight led the Cobras with 17 points.

The Lions are now 11-5 overall and 4-1 in the conference. They are still in a tie at the top of the conference, but have the tie breaker. They play again on Wednesday at conference opponent Montreat College. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30pm ET.
