The Lions traveled to UVA-Wise on Wednesday to take on the Cavs. Bryan's 5-game winning streak came to a halt as they fell to the Cavs 63-72.

The Lions jumped out to an early lead. They built their lead up to 7 points twice, the second coming with 7:39 left in the half. However, the Cavs closed the half on a 19-5 run to send the Lions into the locker room down 23-30 at halftime. In the second half, UVA-Wise built their larges lead up to 15 points. Bryan cut it down to 7 points with 32 seconds left, but that was as close as they would get.

The Lions' defense forced 21 turnovers, but the Cavs shot 50% from the floor for the game.

The Lions were led in scoring by Scott Newton, who had 21 points. Keith Bauer, Demond Craig, and Astral Guerrier added 10 points apiece.

The Cavs were led in scoring by Pance Kecev, who had a game-high 22 points.

The Lions are now 13-6 overall and 6-2 in the AAC. They play again on Saturday against conference opponent Reinhardt College. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00pm ET.
