

Bryan College Freshman Jason McLeod (Ocoee, FL) got his first taste of indoor track and field with a solid performance in the men's mile, where his 4:28.29 was good enough for 4th place in section two. He would later anchor the distance medley squad to a 9th-place finish. Classmate Liz Olsen (Glenville, NY) raced to a 5:43.05 finish in the women's mile.
Newcomer Catherine Anderson (Maple Grove, MN) placed 12th in section two of the women's 3000-meter run and set a new school record in the process with a run of 11:14.99. Bailey Payne (JR - Pikeville, TN) claimed 17th in section three at 12:09.51.
Rookies Drew Thompson (Murfreesboro, TN) and Jake Bradley (Ringgold, GA) were 6th and 9th in their sections of the men's three kilometer with personal bests of 9:08.30 and 9:13.98 respectively. Junior Zach Buffington (Ooltewah, TN) set a best as well finishing 8th in section one at 8:58.54.
Junior Hunter Hall (Brentwood, TN) raced to an indoor 5000-meter best of 15:55.96, which placed him at 25th.
Josh Bradley (SR - Ringgold, GA) was 6th in the top section of the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.10 on Friday evening.
Redshirt Freshman Alyssia Lindsay (Spring City, TN) placed 4th in section 4 of the women's 800-meter run at 2:34.77. Alex Stephens (FR - Cleveland, TN) matched her place in the men's 4th section with a time of 2:02.81.
Josh Ball (SO - Tellico Plains, TN) won his heat of the men's 200-meter dash crossing the line at 23.15. Ball would later be a part of the men's DMR along with Buffington, Stephens and McLeod.
"Our young athletes performed well, as did Hall in the 5k. I think we had seven personal bests today, which is always nice. We look forward to the coming weeks of training and competing," commented Head Coach Rodney Stoker.
The Lions will travel to Bloomington, IN, for the Indiana Relays on January 29-30.
