The Lions went on the road on Saturday to take on the Buffaloes of Milligan College. The Lions took an early lead and held it the rest of the game to win 69-54.

The Buffs scored the first basket of the game, but the Lions rattled of the next 8 points. The Lions built their lead up to 9 in the first half. Bryan went into the locker room at half leading 27-18. The second half was very similar as the Lions continued to add to their lead. Their largest lead came with just seconds left, as they were up 69-53, before the Buffs hit a shot to close out the game.

The Lions shot 53.8% from the floor while holding Milligan to just 42%.

The Lions were led by Scott Newton with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Astral Guerrier added 12 points. Keith Bauer finished with 11 points. Demond Craig dished out 5 assists for the game.

Milligan was led in scoring by Justin Sylvester with 19 points.

The Lions are now 15-8 overall and 8-4 in the AAC. They are currently one game back of first place. They play again on Wednesday at Virginia Intermont College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.
